Your phone number, because it is how you sign in and how we tell you about a booking. Your name and city, so an artist knows who is arriving and where. The address of a booking, because the artist is travelling to it and the travel charge is measured from it.

Payment records: what was paid, when, and by which route. We keep these because they are financial records and because a dispute months later has to be resolvable.

An artist verifies their identity before they can take a booking. We keep only the last four digits of the identity number - enough for a reviewer to match a person to a document, and no more. The document image itself is held privately, is never public, and is opened only by the team reviewing it. A rejected document is discarded.

An artist never sees your full phone number, and you never see theirs. Contact details are deliberately kept out of chat, reviews and notifications. Messages that carry a phone number, an email or a social handle are blocked before they are delivered.

Our own team sees what their job needs and not more: the people who review artists cannot open payment screenshots, and the people who handle money cannot open identity documents.

An artist closes a booking by uploading a photograph of the finished look. That photograph is evidence that the work happened and is used for nothing else. It is held privately, it never appears in the feed or on a portfolio, and it is reachable only by you, your artist, and our team if there is a dispute. An artist who wants a photograph for their portfolio has to ask you, separately.

You can close your account from your account page, at any time, without asking us. When you do, your name, phone number and email are destroyed and every session is ended. The account cannot be signed into again.

Four things deliberately survive, and it is worth saying why:

• Financial records of completed bookings, because they are accounts and have their own retention.
• Reviews you left, with your name removed. They belong to the artist you wrote them about as much as to you.
• Messages, for the same reason: they are the other person’s record of the conversation too.
• Consent records, which are the evidence that something we did was allowed.

We will not let you close an account while we owe you money: a refund on its way, or earnings not yet paid. Money you owe us does not block it.
