ARKA is a marketplace. The make-up artists on it are independent professionals who set their own prices, their own availability and their own cancellation terms. The work is theirs; what we provide is the place you find each other, the agreement you book under, and the handling of the money.

Every booking creates a written agreement listing the services, the time, the address and the total. Both of you accept it before it is a booking, and it is what a dispute is resolved against. Changing an accepted booking creates a new agreement rather than editing the old one, so the history stays readable.

You can pay through ARKA or directly to the artist. Both are offered on every booking, and you can pay an advance and the balance separately. A payment made directly to the artist is not confirmed until the artist says it arrived: a screenshot is a claim, and it is shown as a claim until then.

What comes back depends on how close to the booking you cancel, under the artist’s own published terms. You are shown the exact amount before you confirm, never after.

If the artist cancels, or does not arrive, you are refunded in full however close to the day it happens, and any coins you spent come back. That is deliberately not symmetrical: you should not carry the cost of somebody else’s absence.

Money paid directly to an artist is refunded by that artist. We compute what is owed and hold them to it, but we cannot return money we never received.

Coins are earned by taking part: quizzes, content that is approved, bookings completed, people who join through you. They are worth a fixed amount against a booking, up to a quarter of its price, and they never expire. They are not money: they cannot be withdrawn, transferred or refunded as cash, and a booking cancelled on the harshest terms can consume them.

A MOSE shoot is booked with coins only and never with money. The photographs from a shoot belong to ARKA and may be used to promote the platform and the artist. You are told this before you book one, and it is recorded as your consent at the time.

Conversations happen here, and contact details are blocked in both directions. It is not bureaucracy: a conversation on the platform is one that can be produced if something goes wrong, and one where neither party has the other’s personal number afterwards.
